I love George Orwell! Maybe its just the history teacher in me talking, but he has to be one of the most important authors of all time. His vision of a totalitarian future is powerful and a great warning for new generations. 1984 and Animal Farm should be on everyone's must read list. If there was a list called the "2 Books You Should Read Before You Die", these would be the two.
Wow, I was definately a fan of 1984, but I am pretty sure it would not be on my Top 2 Book To Read Before I Die (T2BTRID) list. I actually might go with Josh on Green Eggs and Ham before Orwell. Perhaps we should put the two to a vote?
