Whitney has been reading nonstop since the mid-1980s, including all of the books in the Baby Sitter's Club series. By day she reads about law in her practice as an intellectual property lawyer and by night she is reading the Book of the Month. If Whitney had ample notice before being stranded on a desert island, she would bring the following books: Secret Garden, The Harry Potter Series, and Atlas Shrugged (because she would finally have time to read it) Her vices are coffee, books, knitting and dark beer.

I recently rediscovered my love of reading and love the different types of books that the book club offers me. I teach high school World History, U.S. History, and Government & Economics and can't imagine a better job! I love any historical fiction and am known to loose myself in the occasional chic lit. When I'm not teaching or reading, I can be found hanging out with my good looking husband and dog, planning our next travel adventure, or working on our house.

I teach World History as well as U.S. History at Mt. Diablo High School inside of the International Hospitality and Tourism Academy. In addition, I work with the Concord Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corp. Lastly, I am getting married to the most amazing woman in the entire world. (See the person listed above me). My favorite book that I have read so far in the book club was Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.
